CO Trip: 4th of July

We went to Colorado to visit my sister for the 4th of July. I got there earlier than everyone else. I actually got there on her birthday and she had a pinting party that night. Two of her friends came over and we painted her living room, kitchen and breakfast nook.

On the 4th, we went on a few adventures. Here is the first of our stops. It was Indian dwellings. Really neat.

We were able to go inside and walk through the rooms.

Afterwards, we went and had lunch in the town of Manitou Springs. They were having a 4th of July celebration with music and food, we were there before it all started so we took and table and waited for the food to be served. Buffalo dogs! The town was a really cute town

This was our next stop. Rock formations that were different shapes. Make youre guess of what they look like. You could hike around the park or rock climb. Guess what we did!

Hiked! This is about the only rock climbing that took place.

But we did sit and watch other rock climbers.

The next morning we drove about 1 hour and a half to go rafting. Mom and dad took the kids to an old west town while we rafted. Hopefully I'll have some pics from our underwater camera to put up soon. The water was so cold they gave us wetsuits and jackets.

Once we got suited we had to sit and wait for the guides to get everything together. Kendal really liked our outfits.

After rafting we went to the Royal Gorge. Here's the sign, it's the world's highest suspension briddge.

Here's a pic of the bridge. You could walk across the bridge, but cars could also drive across, and the bridge shook when that happened.

The river below.

This is the longest aerial tram that Shaun and I rode.

It just so happened that when we were approaching the other side my parents had the long lenses and saw us in the tram. They sure packed us in like sardines.

We went to the Renaissance Festival on Sunday. It was really cool, there were a lot of really neat characters. Can you tell which pic my dad took? This was the entrance.

They had some stages with performers. These were belly dancers that Kendal was amazed by. That night she told both the hostess and waiter about them.

My mom bought this dress for Kendal in Costa Rica, perfect for the Festival.

Dad's Photography!!!

This was the King's Swing. It was really fun.

They also had some animal sfor the kids to ride.
